School of Pharmacy

Hampton University School of Pharmacy is a private institution located in Hampton, Virginia on the eastern coast of the state. Founded in 1997, the average size of a class at the School of pharmacy is sixty-five students, allowing for very concentrated classes and a comfortable student to faculty ratio of about thirteen to one, allowing students to receive quality attention and focus. The school has created a fine academic learning environment that incorporates classroom activity, lectures, laboratory work and real world experience to provide students with all of the skills they need to excel in the field and learn to work in a patient-centered environment.

Hampton University School of Pharmacy offers a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree in their program. The tuition to attend this private school is the same for in-state and out-of-state residents and is a cost of $22,858.00. The programs and curriculum offered towards this degree includes course study in areas such as pharmaceutical sciences, clinical sciences, pharmacy administrations and practices, pharmacology and experiential education. The experience is hands-on experience provided in local hospitals, clinics and other pharmacy practices so that students can become accustomed to dealing with patients and providers regularly in order to provide quality, informed services.
