Nesbitt College of Pharmacy

Located in Wilkes-Barre, the Wilkes University is one of the relatively new post secondary schools in Pennsylvania. With all these, it handles around 4,500 students. Furthermore, its campus is located in a very user friendly urban area of the city.

The university was established in 1933 as the Bucknell Junior College. The school of pharmacy is one of the main reasons for its popularity. It was opened in 1996 though, but it became fully accredited within its first few years of life.

Tuition costs go up to $30,353. Commuters or students who find off campus accommodation do not have to pay the extra $12,325 for a room. However, additional fees will apply for insurances, manuals and others.

The Wilkes University has a very good reputation due to the high rate of graduation. Besides, up to 96% of its students benefit from financial aid, so the expenses do not necessarily represent an impediment in pursuing education.

The first doctors of pharmacy promoted in 2000. The high rate of employment skyrocketed the popularity of this program. The first three years are based on theoretical education, while the last one brings in practical education. Enrollment is limited to 80 aspirants, so the competition is quite harsh.
