College of Pharmacy

The University of Oklahoma hosts the only school of pharmacy in Norman and the surroundings. The university is a local flagship and serves more than 30,000 students. Its campus has been designed with quality in mind, in a pleasant suburban area.

The university was opened in 1890. It needed three more years before opening the pharmacy school, in 1893. It all happened before Oklahoma was even a state. Overtime, the building was continuously improved with new equipments and machinery.

Tuition fees are hard to determine upfront because they vary from one student to another. Residents can consider themselves to be lucky because the costs are almost two times lower. Nonresidents will have to spend a lot of extra money on the accommodation. There are plenty of other fees for textbooks, manuals, transportation, insurances and others too.

The 1:10 professor-student ratio underlines a good reason to enroll. The university is also known for a high rate of graduation (over 95% for most subjects), as well as a decent employment rate.

The doctorate of pharmacy program provides professional education for a top notch career. Since 2008, around 92% of all students have graduated on time. A few M.S. and Ph.D. programs are very handy too, especially since applicants can choose dual degree programs.
