The Ohio State University

College of Pharmacy, 500 West 12th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210

College of Pharmacy

Located in Columbus, the Ohio State University consists of six different schools. It prepares close to 65,000 students in all campuses and schools. It is public and has two different campuses. The largest one spreads over 16,132 acres.

While the university was established in 1870, the pharmacy school was founded in 1885. It was a shy beginning because the management only had $200 for the required supplies, as well as one part time employee only. With time, it has managed to become one of the flagships in the local pharmacy domain.

Tuition fees might vary from one student to another. First, the degree is the factor that makes the difference. Obviously, a doctorate in pharmacy is the most expensive program, but also the optimal solution for a professional career. Accommodation is yet another expense that should not be overlooked, not to mention about other additional fees.

The Ohio State University is a front runner in the pharmacy educational industry. With a professor-student ratio of 1:9 and one employee for every two students, this is one of the most suitable learning institutions.

The programs are quite diversified. Doctorates in pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry and translational science are world renowned, but the doctorate of pharmacy (PharmD) is clearly the most important one. There are also one Bachelor’s and two Master’s degrees offered.
