Eshelman School of Pharmacy

Established in Chapel Hill, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the largest post secondary education institution in the state. It trains around 30,000 students. It is also ranked one of the most prestigious universities in the United States of America.

The university was founded in 1789. It is one of the oldest institutions in the country. However, the pharmacy school was erected more than a hundred years later, in 1897. In 2012, it was ranked the second best pharmacy school in the country. With more than a century of existence, it is also one of the first pharmacy institutions.

The tuition costs vary from one year to another, but the students’ location is just as important. North Carolina residents will have to pay around $85,000 for the whole program, while nonresidents must pay about $182,000. Additional fees may apply as well.

The pharmacy school is in the top three most powerful pharmacy institutions in the country, so its reputation is exquisite.

The PharmD program is a doctorate in pharmacy and represents the most important one. Students can also choose Ph.D. and M.S. programs in chemical biology, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacotherapy and molecular pharmaceutics, among a few others. Fellowships and residencies are also supported on site.
