Established in Buffalo, the D’Youville College is among the representative pharmacy schools in New York. The independent Catholic college is fully accredited by several agencies and handles more than 3,000 students. Its campus spreads over 17 acres.
The school was founded by the Grey Nuns in 1908. It was specifically opened for females only, but it began accepting males in the ’70s too. It was the first learning institution to provide baccalaureate courses for ladies in New York. In 2007, the management has begun the procedures to turn the college into a university.
The college has numerous programs and the tuition fees vary widely. Full time undergraduate courses cost around $11,000 per semester, while part time undergraduate education is $720 per credit. Furthermore, different degrees cost between $662 and $924 for credit hour. The professional pharmacy degree is $15,200 per semester. Additional fees can apply too.
The D’Youville College is relatively new when compared to other similar schools from New York, but its reputation is positive due to the high rate of employment among the graduates.
The programs are not too diversified. Students can opt for pre-pharmacy and pharmacy degrees. The PharmD program (doctorate of pharmacy) is the most important one. Furthermore, several Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are available too.
