College of Pharmacy, 106 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208

College of Pharmacy

Located in Albany, the Albany College of Pharmacy is one of the few pharmacy schools in the country with more campuses spread in different cities. The second one is located in Colchester, Vermont. It handles around 1,500 students in Albany and up to 300 in Vermont.

The college was established in 1881. It is private and has no religious affiliations. The ratio for males and females is 42:58. In other words, this is one of the pharmacy schools with the most even rapport. Normally, females tend to dominate such institutions.

The pre-pharmacy courses cost $28,200, while the tuition fees for professional degrees vary between $28,200 and $30,900. Students who require on site accommodation will have to pay $6,500 to $7,800 more, while additional fees for parking, meals, manuals and others might go up to $6,000.

With more than a century of continuous history, the Albany College of Pharmacy has a good reputation. The professor-student ratio is 1:10, so students benefit from a top notch education.

The institution provides a wide palette of degree programs. Aside from the popular PharmD (doctorate of pharmacy) degree, students can push for Bachelor’s degrees in microbiology, pharmaceutical sciences, human sciences, chemistry, biomedicine and others. A few Master’s degrees are also available.
