Located in an urban area of Omaha, the Creighton University is the one and only private pharmacy school from Nebraska. It has a beautiful campus of 132 acres and supports close to 8,000 students every year.
The university was established in 1878. While it is private, it is also coeducational and has researching purposes. It also carries a Roman Catholic religious association. The campus is located downtown, while the university is fully accredited.
The tuition for a semester is $16,214. No fees are included. Fees normally cost more than $1,000 and may include the $150 lab fee or the $227 technology fee. The tuition costs are a lot higher for non Nebraska residents though. It might be a good idea to inquire about these costs upfront because they tend to change on a regular basis.
The religious profile of this university diminishes its reputation a little, but the large number of graduates and the decent employment rate among the graduates can compensate for that minus. Moreover, the Creighton University has around 1,000 employees, so the professor-student ratio is very good.
The programs of study include doctorate of pharmacy, doctorate of occupational therapy and doctorate of physical therapy. There are a few additional programs too.
