Situated in Ann Arbor, the pharmacy school of the University of Michigan might be taken for a relatively small institution, especially when compared to other pharmacy schools. It handles around 400 students every year, so the professor-student ratio ensures a top notch education.

The university was originally established in 1876. Before the building was erected, pharmacy was taught at a different college belonging to the same university. The original name has been adopted in 1916.

The undergraduate tuition fees cost $7,309 for Michigan residents and almost three times more for non Michigan residents – $21,518. On the other hand, the professional education costs $11,033 and $18,867 for non Michigan residents. Last, but not least, the costs for a doctorate in pharmacy can go up to $90,000 or $150,000.

The reputation leaves no room for misinterpretations. The college is part of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Besides, the small ratio for professors and students ensures that aspirants get the most out of these courses.

There are a few different programs students may opt for – medical chemistry, pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences and engineering. Students can also choose Ph.D., BS or Master programs.
