The Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy at the University of Hawaii at Hilo has the goal of improving the quality of the overall healthcare of the state of Hawaii through training and education of new people in the field of pharmaceutical studies. The school is located in Hilo, Hawaii and while the University of Hawaii at Hilo began classes back in the 1940’s, the College of Pharmacy did not open its doors to students until 2007, with a Ph.D. becoming available in pharmaceutical studies in 2011.

The tuition for the pharmacy program at the school runs $10,380.00 per semester for residents of Hawaii and $18,996.00 per semester for non-residents.

The pharmacy program has buit up a quality reputation in a short amount of time the program has been operating. As one of the few programs of this kind in the Pacific region, it affords the opportunity to bring quality and informed healthcare to the region. The program provides all of the basic courses needed in the sciences needed to have a solid understanding of the pharmacy practice and what is expected of those in the business. B.S, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees can all be earned through programs at the school to give students a sold background needed to have a successful career in the field.
