Mercer University is located in Macon, Georgia and is a private, co-educational institute. The Pharmacy College of Mercer University has been ranked 4th among all the private institutions in the country as per U.S News & World Report. The college itself was founded in 1903 and was an independent institute by the name Southern School of Pharmacy which later merged with Mercer University in the year 1959. The University is the 5th in the country and 1st in the Southeast to offer Doctor of Pharmacy.

The Doctor of Pharmacy course at Mercer University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and is also a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. The college also offers joint degree programs in PharmD with MBA and PharmD with PhD. The annual tuition fee for College of Pharmacy at Mercer University for in-state as well as out–of-state students is $31,472.
