College of Pharmacy

The Board of Trustees of Harding University approved the creation of a College of Pharmacy at its campus in Searcy, Arkansas. This Harding University was founded in 1924 and has over 6,000 students in it currently. The university has got its name from one Mr. James. A. Harding. Its campus is stretched over a large area of 350 acres near the center of Searcy. It has a few local churches and a number of student clubs that perform various extra curricular activities.

As mentioned earlier, the board of trustees at the Harding University are considering the option of opening up a pharmacy school in the Harding University’s campus in Searcy in the state of Arkansas. This college will be offering courses in Pharm.D and also probably at other levels of educations. This plan is still being considered by its authorities and a decisions is expected to arrive soon in favor of the creation of a full time pharmacy school. This is seen as a welcome move as there is only one other pharmacy school in the state which is the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This university will take a few years to be completely ready for education and for student admissions to commence.
